Farah Marie Velten

Farah Marie Velten är konstnär, och baserad i New York City. I sitt arbete fokuserar hon på analoga processer och fotografiska tryck, såsom cyanotypier, bruntryck (Van Dyck-brunt), platinum palladium-printar, chemigrams, fotogram, hålkameror, marmorering, samt silver-och färgframkallning. Hon är lärarassistent på International Center for Photography (ICP) i New York, och har även varit lärare på Point- Community Development Corporation, The High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI), samt i Chile och Frankrike.

Farah har tidigare bidragit till Douglas Tompkins markbevarande projekt Pumalin, som ligger i Patagonien, Chile. Där arbetade hon med att ta hand om områdets ekologiska odlingar, som kock och som guide till parkens internationella besökare. I juni 2017 kommer hon att delta i LAS Laguna Gallerys utställning mon.o.chrome, dit hon är inbjuden som gästande konstnär.
