Helena Marika Ekenger

Helena Marika Ekenger is an artist and costume designer and works with site-specific works and exhibitions as well as the life-long project The Sausage Factory.
Trained at Dramatiska Institutet and Valand School of Fine Arts.
For many years I worked mainly with performing arts, and as a visual artist I am firmly anchored in my theater experience. My grandfather’s sausage factory – in the form of artifacts / relics, stories and fantasies – has over the years been an important source of inspiration for my work.
In more extensive projects of a curatorial nature I work with Agneta Segerfelt under the name “Ett kryss för tanken” (X marks the thought).
