Wes Heiss

Wes Heiss is a visual artist and designer whose work explores and complicates humanities fixation with technology. He has exhibited internationally at DiverseWorks and the Menil Collection in Houston, Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York, and Kulturmöllan in Lövestad, Sweden. He received an Artadia grant, a PCA Grant, and residencies at the MacDowell Colony, Skowhegan, Roswell Artist In Residence, and the Bemis Center. His collaborative public art practice Walczak & Heiss has been awarded a number of permanent commissions in Denver, CO, Laramie WY, Syracuse, NY, and Chico, CA among others. Heiss received a Master of Architecture from Rice University. He is an Associate Professor at Lehigh University where he heads the Product Design concentration and lives in Allentown, PA with his wife, artist Angela Fraleigh and daughter Tuesday.
